Larry’s Story

Site created on November 22, 2019

To know Larry is to love Larry.  Our father has devoted his life to caring for his family, friends and loved ones. Larry puts 110% into every role he holds as a husband, father, brother, son, friend, boss, coworker, and mentor. Now it is our turn to give 110% in return to encourage him on the journey of post-stroke rehabilitation.  As a lover of golf, basketball, baseball, traveling and spending quality time  with loved ones, we are  determined to fight this battle to the finish while regaining independence. Larry will be receiving inpatient rehab at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA (ranked #9 in the nation) until the end of January, where he will then transition to Shepherd's Pathways program for more high intensity therapy. Our family is confident that this medical  scare will turn into an incredible testimony, as the Lord has been faithful to us from the start.  We pray this story is used to glorify the kingdom through reaching hearts across the nation.  May we continue to faithfully believe that hope is alive!

"He will give you a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. " Isaiah 61:3

Hi everyone! Dad recently joined the board of Healing Heads Foundation, an organization with a vision that no stroke or brain injury survivor should go without life changing rehabilitation due to their financial status. In conjunction with Seriously Awesome Stroke Survivors (SASS), we are looking forward to the SASS STRUT 5k on Saturday, May 7th in Hermitage, TN. This race is about strutting to recover, uplift and thrive in life after stroke! If you feel compelled to either register or donate, please see the link attached. Thank you for your support!
