Journal entry by Anna Marie Linton —
Yesterday, Larry had a follow up visit with surgeon. Everything is going well. Done with that! We had a long list errands yesterday which wore Larry and me out. He's regaining his strength.
Today he had his final occupational therapy due to Medicare limitations and a little of him not as strong as in January. I think he lost some momentum with the gall bladder surgery. He can be reevaluated in about 6 months. In the mean time he has equipment to use to help his arm and hand get better. Also, I met an occupational therapist with her specialty being a hand specialist. We are going to find out what she might be able to do for him and of course, coverage by Medicare and his insurance. If Larry had the choice, he said he would choose to stay in occupational therapy. If he starts with the hand therapist, he and I can go at the same time. Having less travel to therapy in Hagerstown we have less of our time occupied by appointments. Considering this is now April, we feel this is a good time for a break. We are looking forward to warmer temps and getting out of the house.
Blessings to all!
