Larry’s Story

Site created on May 22, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. As Larry Don continues his health journey, I thought this would be a good way to keep everyone updated on his progress. Larry has multiple health issues.  Those of utmost concern currently are his diabetes, heart,  venious stasis, and blockage in his lower arteries. With journal entries we will keep you updated as best we can.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Geneva & Larry Stephens

Dear Family and Friends
Larry and I have decided to use CaringBridge to keep you all updated on Larry Don as he walks on this new journey in his life.
On May 18 he was admitted to the hospital. In March he was hospitalized with cellulitis in both legs. During this stay which ended today June 3 the following had been determined about his health.

He had congestive heart failure, venous stasis, chronic cellulitis, 2 values that need to be replaced, 3rd stage kidney disease Afib and sudden cardiac death syndrome. Tomorrow morning I will call the electrocardiologist and make appointment for follow up to have a defibulator/pacemaker implanted. He is wearing a life vest at home, this is a harness that contains a defibulator. This will be his constant companion until his surgery. He also had his cardiologist, pulmonary, endocrinologist, kidney and primary to see in the next 2 weeks. Valve replacement will depend on the condition of his kidneys and lungs. His pulmonologist will also check for sleep apnea.
Please feel free to contact Larry Don on his cell. If you don't reach him leave a voice mail or send him a message here.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated as we continue this journey called life.

May each of you be filled with blessings beyond measure.

Work much love
