Now that all family has been contacted, I can post this update. Yesterday afternoon around 1:40 pm, dad went to be with our Father in Heaven. He fought a valiant fight against his lymphoma. In the end, with all of the additional comorbidities (additional medical conditions), the battle was just insurmountable. Dad was surrounded by love and family. With the help of wonderful medical staff and hospice, he was able to pass with no more pain.
We were able to have his letters from the Veterans Honor Flight delivered and he was able to hear all of them as Taya and I took turns reading them to him. Each and every one was beautiful and will be forever cherished!
So now to get to the details. The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Hegland Lutheran Church outside of Hawley, MN. We would be honored to have you come! Thanks for all of the love and support through this past year.
