Newest Update

Journal entry by Diane Hower

We have great news as I type from OHSU IR unit.  Lara’s cerebral angiogram shows no new clotting, or AVF activity.  She can continue to move forward with her life.

We came here because we know the level of expertise and this is such a relief.  Last night we had Chinese takeout compliments of Nick at our friend’s Lennie, Jim, and Anna’s home in SW PDX where the three of us stayed the night in a guest apartment which made the morning commute up to the Hill (OHSU) easy.  It was a great time and nice to be out of the rain in the lushness of the Willamette Valley.  Food. Friends. Family.

Today we are relieved.

Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts with this scare.  OHSU brought back lots of difficult memories for us but this is a great way to move forward.  It was weird being here with very few people and everything different under Covid restrictions.  We are grateful for the people showing up to work and being so awesome!

Thank You! Thank OHSU! 💫
