Journal

It's been a while since I've updated. We've been busy with life!

We were able to go camping in Gettysburg with the Rill family over Memorial Day. We had a good time and it was nice to be able to relax. Lance felt pretty good, but just had to take it easy. He tried to bike ride, but realized quickly that was a little much. He stayed int he shade mostly and wore his big straw hat, long pants and long sleeves and the tops of his hands still got sun burnt! The chemo makes him so sensitive to the sun, so he just has to be extra cautious.

He went for back to back chemo this week. He went Thursday and Friday. Thursday his levels were down, but not concerning.

HEMOGLOBIN ⬇️ 11.3

NEUTROPHIL ⬆️ 2700

He received 2 chemo's on Thursday and felt horrible immediately even though they had given him Zofran before. He took lorazepam before we left and felt better by the time we got home. He had me run to the store when we got home because he wanted corn dogs and pizza crunchers.

He has been having leg pain in the back of his right leg. They checked his level on Thursday to make sure the blood thinner is working (level should be between .5&1) and his level was perfect at .86. Today they sent him for a scan to rule out a blood clot and everything was fine with both legs. That was good news.

He got sick this morning before he left for the hospital, got sick on his way into the hospital and then a couple times while he was there. Darrin took him today and got to experience that fun! They gave him Benadryl as a pre-med to today's chemo and that wiped him out like normal. Since he still felt bad after the chemo today, they gave him another med for nausea which also wipes him out. He fell asleep in the recliner as soon as they got home around 4:00. He woke up at 8:00pm and asked for a breakfast sandwich....he thought it was morning!! He hasn't eaten the sandwich yet, but he took his zofran and seems to be feeling a little better.

Hoping he can continue on the zofran for the weekend and continues to feel better. He doesn't go back for more chemo until June 10th.

Today Trent participated in the Wax Museum at school as Henry Ford. He did great and we are very proud of him. All of the kids did an excellent job and I was glad I got to stop by for a few minutes.
