Newest Update

Journal entry by Carmen Friesen

Hi again, thought I was done posting but
someone dear suggested I post an update here, so they don’t have to answer for me so much😅
We have had a week at home of total R & R…the first day was mostly sleep for us, and then it’s tapered off from there, as Ky has been getting his days and nights mixed up!
Yesterday felt just about back to normal! We played “Cover your assets” and Ky beat Chris and I by far, and left one little brother whimpering off to the side cause he didn’t like the feel of being beaten! Then we all went for a Timmy’s/ mail run, as Ky and I hadn’t left home since Monday.
This morning and today though he’s been laying in bed mostly. I think he caught a bug😷
He is  supposed to take a week at home so next Tuesday he will hopefully go to school, maybe just half the day…and see how it goes from there. No contact sports for 8 weeks so we will have to get innovative what to do for recess. (Darts, bowling, bean bag toss) It will be interesting to see how he does with schoolwork. He has read aloud quite well but complains a bit about the use of his hands. And his vision change is a bit noticeable.
Follow up visit with the  Neurosurgeon May 6, also a MRI, and EEG.
Then we have dreams of how we can take a break, Ocean? Forest? And while the days away, all under the name of healing 🏞️
