Journal

This is my first time writing something on this website. Hopefully I do it right and it's not too late. I didn't even read any of this Caring Bridge until a couple days ago. Why? The possibility of losing Kris as my wife was so hugely emotional for me that it was easier to avoid any further reminders.

But now I have read everything. I want to publicly thank Ashley and Tara for doing this. Thank you! I also want to thank all of the commenters for your nice comments about Kris. Thank you also to all those who supplied prayers, meals, and cards.

Know that Kris really and truly appreciated your support. She mentioned it to me many times. She was surprised and amazed by how much support she received, but we all know she 'earned' it. Kris was a living example of kindness, friendliness, and goodness.

She touched so many lives, it is amazing. Even though the pain and grief of losing her is immense, I still feel like marrying her was the best thing I ever did. That's how much joy she brought to my life. I was so blessed to have her as my wife. Even after death she is still making me a better person. Every single day I think about what I need to do to enter Heaven and be reunited with her.

One more thing. Thank you to those who attended Kris's funeral Mass. I forgot to mention it at the time, but I wanted everyone to know she would have been very happy to see such a large crowd.
