Update....

I had surgery last week on the 22nd.  Everything went as planned and I was able to go home the same day.  The Dr.  ended up taking a decent strip of skin from each breast to lift them up, making the incision almost the full length of the existing ones.  They also did fat grafting from six spots, my upper inner thighs, stomach and lower sides just around the back.  They sent me home in a very tight "Spanx like" contraption from my rib cage to my thighs. Thank God is had a zipper. 😬  interesting.... 4-6 weeks to help with swelling and shaping.

Tuesday I had a bit of a hiccup.  I took a pain pill on Monday night for unexpected sharp pains in the chest and left side.  (Tylenol wasn't helping). stupid me...... I got in the car with Ava at 7:30 the next morning to ride along for a dog sitting job and within a mile I was sick.  Something you don't expect to say to your 16 y.o daughter, "Pull over, I'm going to be sick!"  Needless to say, when I drove with her for 65 hours this summer, I forgot to have that conversation.  =). we stopped long enough for me to recover, get to the dogs and get home.

o.m.g.  for the next 26 hours I was either sleeping or in tears because I felt like I was on a never ending ride that created a nausea like nothing else.  I vividly remember this from my Septoplasty and my DX Mast in December.  I have to wait at least three days after taking a pain pill before getting in a moving car.  By today, I finally feel almost normal.  My head still feels a little funny, but at least I can almost see the computer clearly. For some reason this time it's been very difficult to look at my phone or computer and sometimes things moving on the TV.  Weird, but normal after anesthesia for me.  Hot flashes have come and gone so the anesthesia should be out of my system.

I'm happy this is behind me, but the whole reason for the surgery was to fix the rippling from the implant.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  bummer.  Since the Dr. cut almost the whole length of the scar, why couldn't he have just replaced the implant. 😒 Maybe it will get better visually over the next 5 weeks.  Last time, it just got worse.  And ladies.... Lipo suction is painful. I feel like it would have been less invasive to just switch stuff and sew it back up.  I can't feel my breast area anyways.

So, I wait.  few weeks of restrictions and I will start again.  I have started trying to find my first plastic surgeon that left when covid got bad.  I think she disappeared.  I would like a second opinion.  In the mean time, I am grateful the cancer is gone, but I look in the mirror everyday and am reminded of the scars that will never go away.  I survived, but I'm not going to settle.

I appreciated all your prayers and well wishes.  I hope to get out and watch some hockey this week.  (I'm not going to lie, I'm a little nervous about getting in the car again...) I'm sure it will be fine. 😳 😅🤣

❤️, Kristi
