Hey Friends!
I think it's time for an update.
Kristi has gone through her first round of chemo. After about day 3 she started to feel the effects. Feeling run down, tired and weak. That's the reality of this situation...even though she is staying so positive through it all, it's so hard to find the energy to get up and play with 2 small kids, or assist with household chores or go to work. And then on top of that, worrying about a compromised immune system during a world wide pandemic is taking it's toll. A day or two before chemo started she got her diploma in the mail and it's still up in the air what her work situation is going to be through all of this.
Your donations are allowing her to stay home and give her body time to heal, so that when she starts to recoup in between rounds of chemo she can slowly start to enjoy the daily tasks again. We can't thank you enough for all of your support for her. She's feeling the love!
Her Facebook status from 6/28/20: "You guys are all amazing. I can't believe the amount of support and love I have received. I've even made new friend sand acquaintances who have been through similar situations who are willing to just drop everything and support me and pray for me. I had a pretty low day yesterday. but it ended with a phone call from a brainy molecular cellular biologist cancer researcher, a card from a pastor I only just met, and a campfire with new friends. My life sounds like a novel!"
From my family to you and yours - THANK YOU. Thank you for lifting up my big sister in prayer. Thank you for sending such generous donations and support and well wishes. We are forever grateful.
