Happy New Year! Quick update with Kris and Baby Melu. Kris got checked into the hospital on New Years Day and will remain there for the rest of her pregnancy. Doctors say that baby is healthy but just taking every precaution to keep her and baby safe!
Praying for Baby to stay inside until 36 weeks, which is January 27th. Kristi has a small separation that is causing her to leak amniotic fluid, and which is why she was admitted to the hospital. She is being closely monitored by the amazing team at Texas Children’s. The doctors have said a great goal is to get her to 36 weeks! If they need to get baby out sooner, they are prepared to do so but we are all believing her fluid levels will stay stable for 3 more weeks!
Kris is feeling well and staying positive, but after 60 some days on bed rest it definitely gets old! She is only allowed one visitor at the hospital and with all the Covid restrictions she isn’t allowed to leave her room unless for an ultrasound or other appointment.
Thank you for your continued prayers for Baby to continue to grow and develop and stay in Kris as long as possible! The Melu’s would love your prayers for Kristi’s fluid levels to stay normal and for baby to grow, grow, grow! 💙
