Welcome to Kristen’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportKristen is now one month post-surgery and one year from her initial diagnosis. It has been an emotionally taxing time, but we are grateful Kristen is beating the odds against a disease which only sees 25% of patients survive past twelve months.
Today we met with her oncologist to set the plan for additional chemotherapy, which will start at the end of May. Kristen has selected a treatment called PCV, a combination of capsules and IV drugs taken in six-week cycles. We meet with the radiologist next week about Optune therapy, and it feels good to be doing everything we can to fight this cancer.
Kristen's next MRI will be in July. For now Kristen continues to do what she can to attend the kids' events such as dance recitals and soccer games. She thanks God for the energy she needs to support the kids and their activities.
While she does these treatments, we will continue to look into clinical trials.
