Kris’s Story

Site created on September 24, 2020

Kris was diagnosed with DCIS Breast Cancer in 2011. She had a lumpectomy followed by six weeks of radiation. Nine years later, she was diagnosed with a recurrence of DCIS Breast Cancer in August 2020. She is scheduled for a double mastectomy with reconstruction October 12. While this is not the way Kris planned to wrap up the year, it's a journey she will take with the love support of her friends and family. Kris holds tight to the Lord's promises and faithfulness. She is looking forward to ending this crazy year and beginning  2021 healthy.  She is a warrior momma and dwells in the support she has received from her people. I'm Kris' youngest daughter, Claire, writing on behalf of my mom. I will be posting frequent updates to keep everyone in the loop. We know our Lord is bigger than this and we ask for continued prayers along this journey. One of Kris' friends, Connie Heckle, is organizing a meal train. If you feel led to contribute message me with your email and I will connect you.
