Well, and end of a chapter happened today! Mom has made it to the next stage. She’s made remarkable strides since Oct 18th and the journey back to her own home happened today. Tom, Ryan, Tommy, and Izzy are very excited to have her back in the nest. But, she’s under strict doctors orders to remain in bed, healing until further notice. No motherly duties, yet!
Paul, our family friend, has been a living saint. He drove all the way from Montreal November 6 and has been staying at my house since to help us. He’s taken the late shifts, med changes, cooked some excellent meals, made us afternoon fruit plates, coffees, walked my dogs, snow, plowed my driveway, and ran all sorts of errands and even has helped at the office. I could not have stayed in this momentum for so long without him. Thank you, dearest Paul. You are loved!
This upcoming weekend, mom’s Friend, Pam, from South Florida is coming up to make sure moms new transition is up to par! It’ll be nice for mom to laugh and see one of her girlfriends again.
As we turn the page to the next chapter, there are still prayers needed. She still has roughly 4 months of serious recovery to do every day gets better, but it definitely is a day by day journey. I’m passing the baton onto the boys now. Tom, Ryan and Tommy— I know you’ll take great care of our mommy!
