Last Update and Thank You!! (from Kris)

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that this Advent has been filled with many blessings.

I am doing so good and feeling so much better. I met with the cardio electrophysiology specialist at the beginning of December. Based upon a review of the heart monitor he had me on and the hospital records, he does not see any evidence of irregular heart rhythm, which is fantastic news. My heart rate is still a little fast, but medicine is keeping this in check and the rate seems to be slowly coming down, so we are hopeful that with continued healing and cardio rehab the heart rate will continue to come down and I will be able to stop that med in a few months!! This all means that it looks like I will not need any other procedures to correct heart rate/rhythm issues!! Praise God!

I had some blood pressure problems in late November, but an added med has really made a difference and the last two weeks have been so much better.

I started cardio rehab (exercise with heart monitoring to check for any problems) about three weeks ago. It is going well, and over the next couple months this will go a long way to helping me regain strength and endurance. I am still amazed at how quick I tire out, but every week this gets a little better.

In mid-January I will have a CT to review the healing process of the surgical repair to my aorta. There is no reason to expect anything but positive news, and I’m looking forward to check off this last big box.

I really can’t fully express my thankfulness to each of you for your ongoing prayers. They have made all the difference in my ability to make it through the surgery, the various hospital stays, and the hiccups since being home. Please know that each day I have been holding you all and your intentions up in my prayers. From the bottom of my heart, I pray that this is a Merry Christmas for each of you and that 2024 is filled with many blessings!!
