Dear All -- Below is Kris's Obituary that was posted in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press on Sunday, April 2nd.  I have also updated her main photo on this site to display the photo that was included in her obituary.  It's a beautiful photo of my sister with one of many of her beloved dogs.

KRISTINE DYRHAUG OBITUARY

Age 64, of St. Paul On 3/23/23 Heaven gained a spirit that will put a twinkle in our sky. Nobody was faster to help a loose dog. She had a spare leash and doggie treats at home and in her car. She even jumped into action on busy 35E near Hwy 36. Her favorite hobbies were flower gardening and filling the bird feeders and bath year round so she could sit back and watch all the pretty song birds in our back yard. Kris grew up in West St. Paul, attending St. Josephs, Brady and Henry Sibley schools. At 18 moved to Texas to continue working with a hotel liquidator. Then moved back to work at the Phoenix Residence. Then moved into the child care field for 20 years, part of that being the Director at Children's Paradise in WSP. She then worked at her mom's ice cream shop in Har Mar Mall. She fought so many health issues starting with an emergency appendectomy at the age of 12. Other issues brought on many multiple surgeries ending with a super strong fight against cancer. Kris is preceded in death by her parents Russel & Phyllis Douglas.
