After several rounds of antibiotics, a small portion of the incision site on Kristi's head has failed to fully heal. She was admitted again to Sanford a week ago, and underwent surgery on Wednesday. They removed the titanium plate they believed to be causing the infection. They then took muscle, skin, and vessels from other parts of her body and attempted to cover the exposed area on her skull. This was unsuccessful,  as the blood kept clotting. They will try this same procedure again on Friday, August 3rd. Kristi welcomes visitors and phone calls, and is as bubbly and strong as she always is! Positivity is a strong force!
