Kevin’s Story

Site created on September 16, 2019

This site has been created to help keep everyone informed of my dad (Kevin)'s progress. As most of you know, I (Michelle) live in California which makes getting timely updates to family and friends a challenge. Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Michelle Anglin

Today, October 11, we celebrate one year since my dad’s transplant. One very full year that he would not have been able to experience without the life-changing surgery made possible by a family’s choice to donate their son’s organs. Though 2020 has been a doozy of a year, our family has so much to be thankful for, including my parents getting to meet their grandsons, both born this year. Dad is still working toward complete recovery, but hopes to have his g-tube removed in the next month or so, as well as have his gallbladder removed. The decision was made this summer for him to officially retire, giving he and my mother time to travel and visit family and friends. They were able to spend a month in California this fall to meet grandson number 2. It was a lot fun, with the whole family getting to be together for a week when Adam and Jessica brought grandson number 1 to visit as well. We continue to be ever grateful for the choices made and everything that lead us to where we are today. Sending our love to you all.
