Kev was in good spirits today.

Yesterday's endoscopy showed no issues. Decreasing his blood thinners seems to have helped the blood loss and the low hemoglobin issue.  They do believe they found the infection and they believe it started in his heart possibly from the re-set of the lines for his implant.

He will be spending the weekend and Memorial Day in the hospital - earliest release Tuesday. 

We had such a great run without any big issues and we look at this like just a blip.  When it happened we didn't imagine this would turn into a long hospital stay.  The good news, Kev is very happy at Mercy.  He likes their food!  He is getting stronger and overall, feels pretty good even with having to stay in there longer than either of us imagined.  They will not release him until he is 100% and that is reassuring.

Sorry I have not been the best at keeping everyone up to date.  It's been busy juggling all the things that life says must be juggled.  We both appreciate everyone reaching out.  Kevin has his phone and a charger now.  Feel free to spam him. 😁
