Kiya’s Story

Site created on March 30, 2023

Spring blessings!

This CaringBridge is to coordinate visit and check-in support for Kiya during the first couple weeks after her April 6th lung surgery.
She’ll be back to her apartment on the 8th. Kiya will then be able to get out of bed and tend to her basic needs. She can handle meals, so meal support is not required, although contributions are welcome. Mainly she’ll need moral, energetic and organizational support while she may be challenged with fatigue and pain. The goal is for one short drop-in visit per day for the two weeks after surgery, just to see how Kiya's doing and ensure that her needs are covered. The plan will work wonderfully if we could each choose two visit days (or one per week) between April 7th and April 21st. The first 5-10 days or so will be particularly important.

To volunteer for a visit, click on the "Planner" (clover image) icon, and the select the "Weekly" tab on the calendar.  Then choose a visit date, or two.
-- Time of day to be arranged with Kiya directly.
