Kit’s Story

Site created on August 14, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

A little background, Kit presented to the ER on Wednesday not feeling well. He was diagnosed with acute congestive heart failure and admitted. Overnight he deteriorated and admitted into ICU. His organs began to fail, blood was starting to thicken, and they could and still cannot determine the cause. He further deteriorated and required emergent transfer to higher level of care only a bed could not be located. Kit’s village came together very quickly, and because we are full of people who will not take “no” for an answer he is now at Memorial Hermann TMC.

Currently, Kit is still very sick although we are hopeful that he is moving in the right direction. His oxygen requirements have decreased which is good considering he was minutes away from being intubated. His liver has regained some function and is on continuous dialysis to relieve his kidneys. His heart is what seems to be the weakest and in need of the most support

We still have no definitive answers and his physicians are calling him a “mystery”. We will soon be calling him a “miracle”!!

Please, continuously keep Kit in your prayers!! And, please keep Allie in your prayers as she hasn’t slept since Tuesday night and hasn’t left his side. Last but not least, their precious children are being taken care of by our village.
