We celebrated Kirsten's remission on June 22!

Kirsten says, "it's been a journey learning to processong this diagnosis from the safety of remission and I am trusting God to bring me through to healing".

Kirsten's doctors have decided to treat her with immunotherapy once a week for six months and then at the end of August they will go to once a month for a year. These treatments have been going really well, but often leave Kirsten feeling tired and drained.

Kirsten went back to work at Altar'd State working as many hours as she can, without overworking herself, and taking time off around her immunotherapy infusions. She has really loved connecting with her coworkers again and expressing her passion for style and fashion by helping guests find clothing and jewelry that they love!

Kirsten has also had many opportunities to take leadership roles in summer programs at GodTown this year. She has been leading groups of teens to do service projects and outreaches. She has been a point person at Nightwatches (GodTowns quarterly 7pm-1am prayer, worship, and outreach events) as a room coordinator, hostess, and prayer lead. She graduated to a new phase of the leadership program in June and has been learning the new roles and responsibilities that come with that! She is looking forward to the privilege of teaching a class on healing incorporating art this fall.

PRAYER REQUEST:

This last month Kirsten has been experiencing abdominal discomfort. The last few days it has progressed to difficulties eating and drinking. She took a brief visit to the emergency room last Wednesday for fluids and a CT, but they were unable to find anything at that point. The surgeon who performed her surgery followed up and recommend she come in for an appointment to get checked out. After a long day of not being able to eat or drink the surgeons team told her to in to the emergency room connected to their hopital for, labs, fluids, maybe some tests, and hopefully some results!
Prayers would be incredibly appreciated as this has been very disheartening for Kirsten and has made finances tighter. Feel free to message her encouragement and prayers as you feel lead!
