Today was a big day!  I received my fourth and final treatment of AC.  So this was also my final chemo treatment.  I am done!!! Yay!!  I am so excited to be done with chemo.  I feel like I still have a little ways to go as far as recovering from all of the side effects but at least now it should be mostly positive progress.  During the course of the AC treatments, just when I would start feeling better it would be time for another treatment and I would get knocked down again.  So I am expecting a week or so of intense fatigue and nausea and then I should really be able to be on the up swing.  I have quite a few additional more minor side effects, mostly cosmetic, that I am really looking forward to seeing improvement on (hair loss, black toe nails, finger nails falling off, blemishes and break outs on my face). Fun stuff (not)!

I am feeling pretty run down over all.  I have not been able to walk much lately.  My energy has been very low and especially when it is hot and humid it is just too much for me.  At this point I am really just looking ahead.  I know that in a week or so I will be feeling so much better and I will slowly be able to get back in to a routine and build up my stamina.  I can't wait to feel strong again.  At least I have the second half of summer to enjoy so that is awesome.

I have a follow up with my oncologist in six weeks and then every three months after that.  They won't be doing any scans at this point.  Apparently with my situation it is assumed that the cancer has been completely eradicated by the treatment I have just gone through.  Now we just keep a close eye out for any symptoms or changes.  I have my final reconstructive surgery scheduled for September 22nd.  That will have a similar recover time to my first surgery.  Probably a week off of work and six weeks of weight restrictions and certain activity restrictions.

I have been so fortunate to continue to be able to work my normal schedule.  My company, my boss and my co-workers have all been very understanding and supportive which is absolutely amazing.  As always, thank you to my family and friends for all of the support.  You have been my safety net, my rock, my people.  I love you all!
