The life of a lab rat has seemed like a real life never ending story. I have been off of the trial drug for about a month now but all the closing/follow up appointments continued as they needed to monitor how my body reacts to being off the drug.
Today I completed my final appointment which was a simple blood draw and check in with the Dr. If only all appointments were this quick and easy!
My bloodwork all came back good and my white blood cell count is no longer below normal …. Phew
So what’s next? We continue with regular treatment and hope this drug is doing its job. Scans next week will let us know where we stand and if anything additional needs to be added or changed in treatment plan. Let’s hope my good news with bloodwork is a sign for more good news to come 🤞
