Kim’s Story

Site created on July 16, 2022

For around 6 weeks Kim hasn’t been feeling the same as she normally does. After a few red flags Kurt took her to a local hospital where they identified brain swelling and applied steroids to reduce the swelling. That not having solved the situation, they went to Mayo Clinic and got some MRIs and CAT scans taken. These showed two tumors in her brain. One is applying pressure to the interior part of the brain that affects her speech.

Please keep her in your thoughts as we work through this.

Thank you to the incredible community that has surrounded us throughout this process. My lifelong rock has passed, yet we are finding ways to seek joy alongside the heartbreak. These pictures have helped my dad, Lars, and me in our grief and I hope they do the same for you.

We invite you to both celebrate and mourn with us this Saturday at the Eagan Community Center (1501 Central Pkwy,Eagan, MN 55121).

Greetings: 10:30-11:30a
Kim’s Community Gathering: 11:30-12:15p
Luncheon: until 1:30p
