Hi, all!

We know it has been a while, so we wanted to update you on Kim and her treatment plan/journey. This summer her scans showed cancer returned in the liver and lymph nodes throughout the body. Her team of doctors understood this meant Kim will live with cancer and she will work just as hard to fight it as she has before. She started chemo in July and has completed three rounds of chemo so far. After her fourth round, they will do another scan to see how the tumors are responding overall. 

Over the weekend Kim was in a lot of pain and went to the hospital Saturday. The doctors have determined it is cancer-related pain and they are working to treat it. She was hoping to go home today, but they have decided to keep her another night. If she is able to keep the pain at bay tonight she should be home tomorrow. They did a CT scan Saturday into Sunday and it showed the liver tumors were shrinking, and there are no new lymph nodes they can see, which is just what we wanted to hear!! 

Send Kim some extra prayers and good vibes to get home and keep shrinking these damn tumors!
