Journal entry by Peter Maring —
It was only a little over 4 months ago Kim was admitted to the hospital for a bad headache only for us to discover she had a brain hemorrhage caused by a ruptured AVM. An emergency surgery, AVM resection surgery, shunt, and a month stay in the hospital later and she is almost fully recovered. She is back to work full time and has been able to enjoy normal life. She just returned from a trip to the UK. When her surgeon cleared her for the trip he told her they performed a life saving surgery so she can live her life.
She has been determined from the start to get back to normal and that's just what she has done.
We didn't know if Kim would wake up from surgery let alone walk, talk, or travel ever again. God has been with her this whole time and we are so blessed. She has had the best outcome possible and we have seen miracle after miracle.
We couldn't have gotten through without the immense support and prayers we received from everyone around us. It means more to us than we could ever say!
Kim had the best medical team. Her surgeon was beyond amazing and the neurosurgery staff went above and beyond to make her comfortable and always informed. The nursing staff gave the best care and we cannot thank them enough.
Thank you all for everything. We are so grateful for the support and love of friends and family and thankful to have Kim healthy and healing. Praise God for his goodness and faithfulness!
