He was able to get some rest Sunday night and Monday as his body adjusted to the new kidney and all of the medications. On Tuesday, Seamus and Cathryn met with a pharmacist and nurse to discuss home care and prescription management and they were hopeful he would be home by the end of the week.
He had a bit of a setback on Wednesday when his body was not reacting well to one of his medications but the new kidney is still functioning well. He just needs some more rest and time to heal while his body adjusts and will be spending a bit more time in the hospital.
We are so grateful for everyone who is keeping Seamus in their thoughts and prayers at this time. Please also remember the organ donor who lost his life to give Seamus this amazing gift.
This is going to be a long (and costly) recovery so we would be so grateful for anyone willing to share Seamus’ GoFundMe page with their family and friends: https://www.gofundme.com/a-kidney-for-seamus
