Journal

Today is the day of Kevin’s funeral. We want to celebrate his life. As we have heard so far there is much to be joyful for in the life he led.

The three of us who are left from the original six would love to continue hearing stories. It will help us keep his memory strong, alive, and purposeful.

Some strong take always so far, I believe, are to:

-Love fiercely!! His family  was precious to him. He called mom every day.  He had a hug routine with Marcee whenever he saw her.  He loved being an uncle.

- Admit your mistakes and grow from them as he did through AA.  We are hearing countless stories of how he changed lives or actually saved people’s lives through his work, growth, and caring.
- Help others.  At he drop of a hat, or an Arnie Palmer, he would rush to the aid of others. I know too how much our kids enjoyed visiting when Kevin and Gail would dog-sit for friends.
- Care and help those with extra needs. He would donate to Epilepsy research in honor of our sister, Marcee. I remember when we volunteered on her Adapted Athletic Program. He was one of her biggest cheerleaders!

- Love life and nature.

- Wear a helmet!  Do it in his memory. If someone creates an emblem  to put on a helmet, we would love to see it.

So now we live on and love on. Here’s to memories!  Make many and treasure them.
