Journal entry by Leon LASLEY —
Hello! on behalf of Kevin and Renee Brown I am journaling. This is a tragic hard to believe real life experience of a family torn apart by crippling disease and cancer. Five or six years ago this family moved here from Alaska. They set their sites on Minnesota for somewhat of a better life with the health care system we have. The two children both in their thirties have a crippling disease that keeps them wheel chair bound all the time. Both parents were caregivers helping their children the best they could. But then the father became disabled, so that left just the abled body mother to care for not only the children but her husband to and oh yea their ninety year old Grandmother who is still alive but has severe dementia. Recently (I say this tearfully) both parents died from cancer within a month a part. The friends are doing all that they can to help them physically and emotionally. We're hoping to keep them from being evicted from their home by the end of July. We hope that you read this story and consider giving loving and encouraging comments in support of the two children. They're handicapped physically not mentally so they our hurting to say the least. Find away to encourage them by posting a comment.
Patients and caregivers love hearing from you; add a comment to show your support.
