Happy 4th of July to everyone!! Mary and I just wanted to shoot you a quick update. Our recoveries have gone great and I was at Mayo in April for a 4 month follow up and they said I didn't have to come back until my 1 year follow up if labs continue to look good. Mary is back in town for a couple weeks to spend time with Jill, Jason, Sidney and Lucas and she will go to Mayo on Monday for her 6 month follow up. 

When Mary was making plans for her trip, Jill was planning on running a half marathon at the TC Red, White & Boom celebration so Mary asked if I wanted to do the 5K with her, and I felt like it was the least I could since she was so generous with giving me a kidney :-) We did the run today and had a great time (and finished in less time than we had set for our goal) and were smiling the whole way. I have added a few photos from the event, including the shirt that I had made to help promote living organ donations to wear on the run.

We both continue to do well and are blessed with great health. Thanks again for all your love and support. Enjoy the holiday with your families!!
