Hi everyone,

Just wanted to summarize the week or so since our last update. My dad has been in rehab for just over a week now. We've reached some important milestones in that time. Molly and Brian brought the baby in so her grandfather could meet her for the first time. My dad's swallowing strength is improving, and he can now drink liquids and eat certain foods. He traveled offsite for the first time since being admitted today. His sister Liz and I brought him unsupervised to an eye doctor appointment in Quincy. He did well outside of the hospital. He's still extremely fatigued and prefers that visitors wait to see him. We're still relaying messages and bringing in cards, so feel free to let us know if you have anything you'd like us to pass along to him.
