Praising the Lord for this incredible news Kevin received yesterday!!
CEA Counts: Normal (1.6... where below 2.5 is acceptable)!
Pelvic and Abdominal Scans: All Clear!
No Local Tumor Recurrance
No Enlarged or Suspicious Lymph Nodes
No Abnormal Soft Tissue Mass
Complete Remission - Road to Recovery!!!
Truly. God has shown off His sovereignty over the physical. He has brought us nearer to Himself as we prayed and petitioned for our Friend, Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Leader, Mentor, Shepherd, & Boss. God would still be good, even if what I were typing right now were different, but what a joy to be able to report this great news! ❤️
Tomorrow Kevin has surgery to reverse his Ileostomy, we can pray all goes well and normal with that. We can pray that as his Colon restarts that all goes well and that the road to recovery is eventless.
His Future: I asked what his nexts months and years look like as a Cancer Survivor. For the next 3 years he will have his CEA levels checked quarterly, every 6 months he will have a CT scan, and every year a colonoscopy. After 3 years the intervals will spread out until he reaches Year 5. If nothing shows up within those 5 years he is officially declared Cancer Free. So for the next 5 years he is in the category of Remission. We'll take it! 😊
Thank you all for faithfully walking this journey with our family!
