It is hard to believe that we have completed our week long celebration of life in honor of Kerry Doyle. The entire Doyle entourage made the trip from Vermillion to Rapid City Thursday afternoon after the funeral without any issues. We then reassembled Friday morning at Mt Calvary Cemetery to complete the  journey to Kerry's final resting place. We were blessed by a number of friends who gathered with us that morning. Tom Haggerty & Hannah Katz from Rimrock Church sang Amazing Grace and then Decon Denny Davis from St Agnes Church in Vermillion shared his final thoughts regarding Kerry's life. He then said a blessing and we all joined together to sing I'll Fly Away. The ceremony ended with each member of the family placing a small amount of dirt on top of the urn. Rimrock Church then hosted our group for lunch and more song. 

We all assembled at Chris & Beth's recently remodeled house which allowed 38 of us the spend the remainder of  Friday together. Mike, Chris and Hannah sang some songs and we ate well. 

I know my mother (Lois) feels like she has been in a fog or haze this past three months. But even in that place, she is keenly aware of your love & prayers and words of encouragement. She also  voiced her appreciation to each of us in the family who collectively shared our talents in unique ways to ensure that the celebration of Kerry's life was fulfilling. And it was! 

We are thankful to so many of you for your help. The USD staff, Hansen Funeral Home, Wilson Florists, the St Agnes & Rimrock Church families, Tom & Terri Haggerty for loaning is their home and for all the flowers, letters, donations, phone calls and prayers. We have been strengthened and uplifted by your love. Thank you.

And now we will move into a new chapter of life lived without Kerry's physical presence. Please continue to lift mom up in your prayers as she goes through a season of sorrow and healing.
