Ken’s Story

Site created on April 8, 2022

In March of 2022, an MRI, Dad was diagnosed with a terminal glioblastoma brain tumor. After a high-risk, life-extending surgery in April, Dad returned home from the hospital one day after his 70th birthday in May. Our family spent 8 cherished months taking turns caring for and spending precious time with Dad. In December of 2022, after exhausting all options of chemo, radiation, and IV treatments, Dad entered home hospice care and passed on Friday, December 23, 2022. He will be missed greatly, but will live on in our hearts and memories forever.

Journal entry by Ryan Lear

For those of you who will not be able to attend Dad's service tomorrow, the church has been kind enough (and technologically equipped enough) to put together a livestream link on youtube for viewing.

We're so glad to be able to provide yet one more way for people to hold space for Dad in their hearts :)
