Dad has made good progress in terms of nutrition and strength.  We were notified this afternoon that he will be discharged tomorrow.  We were unable to find temporary placement or assistance to help us transition him from the hospital to home; therefore, he will be coming back to our place.  The care team notes that he needs 24/7 supervision and should not be driving.  We are unable to provide that as we both work full time; however, we will be home through the weekend with him and will see how he does.  If anyone would like to come visit Dad at our place, please reach out to me and I will gladly share directions.   

He does still need to go back to Fargo for thyroid cancer surgery.  We do not yet have a date scheduled for that.

Thank you to everyone that has visited and supported Dad throughout his extended hospital stay.  We appreciate you all very much.

I will continue to post updates on this page as we move forward.
