Sign In to Show Your SupportA few weeks ago, I spoke to several doctors on my care team about my options with this new prognosis of Leptomeningeal disease.
I don’t want to die…at least not yet. So I decided to fight and pursue chemotherapy, Lomustine, along with the Avastin infusion I have been doing for several months. I know my time on this planet is limited, which makes me so mad, but I have been grateful for the visits with friends and family and Michele to take on the increasing responsibility of traveling. We were able to sneak in a fun 4 night trip to DC, and fortunate to have good friends Jeff and Suzanne meet us there.
Brian Brock a friend from college days spent a night with us and Jon and Wendy drove from MI for a weekend visit. My mom and then brother in law, Billy and his family visited this past week. We had a great video visit with our many friends from the Park Lane condo we lived in in Denver. My sister, Kirsten and brother in law Jim are due in this week, hopefully followed by friends Rob and Leslie…then a dear friend of Michele's Kimbirly will be here in early July. We enjoy the company and welcomed distraction from the bad hand I’ve been dealt. I have enjoyed a few Reiki sessions that help relax me and connect to the other side at times. Thanks as always for the steadfast support, it provides me strength.
