Journal entry by Jennifer Todnem —
Today is a good day!
Ken has done 15 rounds of treatment and two areas of radiation. Today we got the results from his PET scan he had on Tuesday.
.................
THINGS LOOK GREAT!!!
The picture on the left is his very first sacn at the beginning of diagnosis. The one on the right is now! No more in the spine, tiny bit in the pelvis, and a tiny spot in the chest but they are shrinking. He is responding great to treatment! We get to drop down to one drug instead of two! Just keytruda! So now it is one Infusion every three weeks instead of week one two drugs, week twonone drugh and then a week off and start over again. We will go three months and then pet scan again to see how it is going.
We do have to watch his lungs as treatment has started to take a toll on them. So hopefully taking away one drug will help heal the lungs.
We are coming up on the year mark of diagnosis. It has been a crazy roller coaster. I can not thank all of you enough for the thoughts, prayers, and any help you have given. We still have a long road that we don't know where and when it will end, but we are going to enjoy every moment we can of the time we have.
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Ken's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
