Journal entry by Ken Gruebbeling —
Update after Oncology, Cardiology and Primary Care doctor appointments this month.
Since my last update, my primary care physician prescribed a different medication for my headaches, this has made a tremendous difference. Feeling a lot better and constant headaches are almost non-existent.
Saw my oncologist a little over 2 weeks ago, he's happy with my low blood counts. CLL/SLL appears to be under control. Have head/neck/abdomen CT Scans prescribed for end of July with a follow up appointment in August. I'll provide another update shortly after.
No bad news = Good news.
Saw my cardiologist on Wednesday. Latest loop recorder report showed no tachycardia events, he is happy with blood pressure and heart rate. He didn't even feel the need to listen to my heart. Good news here also and doesn't need to see me again until October.
Saw my Primary Care physician on Thursday to follow up on Type 2 Diabetes and check A1C. A1C is down to 5.2, so she decided to cut my metformin dose in half. The Ozempic continues to seem to keep working, although I can't seem to lose more than the 35 pounds I've lost since last September. Good news again and she doesn't need to see me again until October either.
Thank you all for the continued prayers and support 🙏💚🎗️
