The family would like to thank everyone for your ongoing love, support and prayers.
On Monday we found a therapy center in MN that Ken could be released to. He was set to be discharged toward the end of the week. Flight tickets were purchased to fly Ken home on Friday.
The hospital transferred another patient with “ pneumonia” into Ken’s room.
Tuesday
His Daughter Chris and her family flew down to Florida to bring Ken home and help with transferring him from the hospital to the airport.
Later in the day Ken started coughing. The patient with pneumonia was tested for COVID and the test came back positive.
Unfortunately Ken was having difficulty breathing and coded and was Intubated, then transferred to the ICU.
Wednesday
The doctors confirmed that Ken was in multiple organ failure, and had brain damage. Ken’s COVID test came back negative.
Dan,Kathy, Billy and Cheryl flew down to be with Ken.
Thursday
Ken was transferred into Hospice. His breathing tube was removed and they are keeping him calm and comfortable.
The family can’t thank everyone enough for all the ongoing support they have received . It’s been very difficult last couple weeks. please keep Ken and his family in your prayers. ❤️
