Welcome to our family's CaringBridge website. We are using this platform to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this journey. Thank you for visiting.
 
Ken's Story:
On April 23rd our family received the terrible news that our beloved father, friend, and husband Ken Doherty had been diagnosed with stage 3b Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. Over the past month, our family has been adjusting to our new normal. Although we are devastated by the news, we are more determined than ever to kick cancer's ass! Ken will be receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment at St. Vincent's Hospital in Beaverton, Oregon, over the next 3 months.  Through this website, we will be providing weekly updates every Sunday evening to keep our friends and family in the loop and have a place to relay important progress updates as we go through this cancer journey. We are stronger together and appreciate all the love, support, and encouragement during this difficult time.

Hi Ken supporters,

We wanted to share that Ken’s celebration of life will be Saturday, July 24th at 11 am at the Cedar Mill Bible Church in Beaverton Oregon. The church address is 12208 NW Cornell Rd, Portland, OR 97229.  All are welcome, we know Ken touched so many lives and we look forward to seeing you there. 

After the memorial service there will be a reception at our home in Tigard with light food, drinks, and conversation about Ken as we remember and share stories of our love for him. We hope to see you there as we celebrate our beloved Ken.
