Newest Update

Journal entry by Rebecca Weber

After almost 16 weeks, Kelvin will be discharged from Courage Kenny in Golden Valley tomorrow, June 19th.  He has made progress throughout his tenure in transitional rehabilitation, but it is time for him to move forward to a community living setting and work towards his independence.  We are fortunate that he can locate closer to home where he will reside for the interim at Home Front First in Montevideo. Having a closer proximity to Madison will afford him the opportunity to visit there more often and see his friends and family.

Rather than follow an inpatient therapeutic routine, his therapies will become outpatient at Chippewa County Medical Center.  Becoming mobile outside of his residence will also get him acclimated to a world outside of which he has been limited from for the last five months.

He remains open for a game of cards and fishing, so please continue with your calls and visits.  Don’t hesitate to pick him up and take him for a drive either.

His new address will be:

Home Front First
216 N. 19th Street
Room 308
Montevideo, MN. 56265
