Kelsy’s Story

Site created on November 29, 2023

In May of 2022 Kelsy was diagnosed with Appendix cancer that had progressed into the stomach lining, ovaries, and small bowels. She starting her battle by doing 13 rounds of chemo  which led to multiple scans along the way and a scope in January of 2023. In January, they determined the cancer was too intertwined in the small bowel to safely remove it, thus ruling out any surgical treatment. Since then Kelsy has been doing chemotherapy every other week as maintenance chemo. She has gone through various struggles in her battle but has remained faithful to Jesus Christ and to herself, always hopeful, and never giving up! A true WARRIOR

Journal entry by Whitney Wyse

Dear friends, family, and all who have prayed,

Today , in the early hours of the morning, Kelsy left us earth-side to join her Heavenly Father .

Renee was with her and the rest of us were on our way but she made a swift entrance into heaven after the long fought battle she endured.   We feel so thankful for the amazing nurses who were there with Renee and truly carried us the last two months. Kels had the best people on her team from diagnosis til the end.

Although our loss is immense and our hearts are so heavy , we truly rejoice at her victory over death and that she is now abundantly vibrant and in a place so glorious we cant even imagine it. She will remain with us in our hearts.

On behalf of the Wyse family, we thank you for the ENDLESS amount of love extended our way. We have no words that can fully express our appreciation for the support on this journey, but know we felt it and we hope to return it to all those who are walking a hard path in life. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Authoring this story for Kelsy has been an honor and I hope to keep her spirit alive… we will never forget the journey we were on with her and we will use it to spread Gods great promises and to love others well through all seasons.

With love,

Whitney Wyse

2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
