Journal entry by Lisa Robinson

Kelsee is officially out of the hospital and happy to be home.  She was released at 10:30 this morning.  Even with the set back yesterday, she was released ahead of schedule.

We were told that this would be her hardest recovery since she is older and her bones aren't as flexible, but we actually think it has been her easiest.  The doctors and nurses were fabulous and very impressed at how quickly she has progressed. We believe she has done so well because even with the pain from surgery, she is already able to breath better now.  She clearly still has a long recovery and will need to be careful, but it is wonderful to see her doing things already that she struggled with a week ago.

Her heart rate didn't spike yesterday or this morning so the additional medicine seems to be working.  We will continue to keep an eye on it and reevaluate when we return in a month.  Her lung x-ray looked better as well and she is continuing to use her cough buddy to get the phlegm up.  She has so much more color too.

Cory got the honor of bringing her home and of course a pit stop by the llamas was suggested...which of course happened after much persuasion.  Don't worry, she kept her distance and Cory did all the watering.

We are blessed with a great group of friends and family that have continued to send us thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for the support.
