Journal entry by Amy Plew

Dear Family and Friends,

Yesterday, Keith’s journey ended on this earth and he went home to be with his Lord and Savior.  While we are heartbroken and amid profound grief, we rest in the hope and promise that we will be with Keith again one day.

On behalf of Beth, Ryan, Connor, Keegan, and their families, I want to personally thank you for your love, kindness, and generosity over these last 10 months through your visits, cards, letters, gifts of love, and engagement with the Caring Bridge and GoFundMe sites.  In our darkest days, you were there for us as a shining light, and we thank you.

Over the next few days, we will celebrate Keith’s life and all that he meant to us.  We invite you to join us:

Celebration of Life

A service celebrating Keith’s life will be at 6:00 PM, Monday, May 23, 2022, at Nappanee Missionary Church. A memorial visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milford. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Honoring Keith’s Memory

Many of you have asked how you can honor Keith’s memory.  Beth and her family have chosen two charities that hold special meaning to them.

The first charity is The Milford’s Lion Club (https://www.facebook.com/lionsclubofmilford/?ref=page_internal), a humanitarian club serving the Milford, Indiana community.  Keith was a part of the Milford community for over 60 years, and he also served in the Lion’s Club.

The second charity is Water for Good (https://waterforgood.org/), whose mission is to provide clean lasting water for every man, woman, and child in the Central African Republic. Keith became aware of this organization when he completed plumbing work for MudLove (https://www.mudlove.com/), located in Winona Lake, IN, and is an organization that partners with Water for Good. Upon Keith completing the work, MudLove sent him a bracelet with a water droplet (https://www.mudlove.com/products/water-drop-doodle-bracelet) as a thank you and he wore it until the droplet fell off.

In closing, thank you again for demonstrating your faith and love in action to us.  Actions matter.  You showed up.  And we are grateful.

With my deepest gratitude and love,

Amy
