Journal entry by Amie Hiatt

Nathan is back home!! He got the news yesterday that he is stable enough to come home. His vitals have been great for the past week so drs felt he would recover best at home! I am so glad he is home! We have a few hard weeks ahead while Nathan works hard to regain his strength and recover. He will need to follow up in the next few weeks with his surgeon to removed the drain and staples in his abdomen from last weeks surgery here in Bakersfield. We have not seen his drs at UCLA since December so we can follow up with his team regarding his pancreas and remove the drain that was placed back in October.
For now our goals are the take things one day at a time and stay out of the hospital. Thank you for your prayers. We appreciate it.
