Hey guys!

It's been about a month since my last update and things are looking up. I'll be 10 weeks on Monday. Physical therapy is going really well and I can see improvements. This week I actually started driving and pain was tolerable. Before I would test it out around the neighborhood and had a good amount of pain. I was happy when I drove to physical therapy on Wednesday and it went well! My physical therapist also said to try and go on short walks and increase my daily steps. My average had been about 3000 steps so now my goal is 5000 steps daily. Around the house I'm using one crutch and short walks in the house without anything. My right hip feels funny when I walk without anything so just still working on strengthening. If I'm out and about or going to walk a lot at once I still use two. My leg just gets tired. Putting weight on my hip doesn't hurt but I'm definitely sore in the evening and just ready to sit down. My swelling is so much better, I just have minimal by the end of the day and ice is still my best friend. The bottom of my incision is almost closed (yay!), I was worried for a while because it was taking so long.  I do feel like walking is going well and I'm moving right along in that aspect. I'm still unable to lift my leg in my car without assistance. I have to say I'm happy about my progress and it feels good to start feeling somewhat normal again. I also was able to go to Chicago with a friend to visit a friend who moved there a while ago and it was much needed. I got pushed around in a wheelchair and was the very first passenger on the airplane. Then I got lots of practice on stairs at my friend's house. Chad left Oct 27th for deployment and it has been lonely without him. I've been getting along well though and Chad's parents are helping out so much. We are able to talk a lot which I always enjoy! I think that is all for now hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
