Well, we got a phone call during the night that they did not expect Dad to make it much longer.  Unfortunately, the damage done from the colon rupture was too much for him to battle.  He tried valiantly, but the infection was just really bad. Keith, Kim and I were able to all go in together to see him and visit for a time.  We switched Dad over to comfort care and took him off all the medications and machines.  He was peaceful.  He opened his eyes and saw all of us and quietly drifted off at 5:39 am. 

We will miss him terribly.  We greatly appreciate all of the prayers and support of our loved ones and especially the nursing staff at St Joseph Hospital who took such great care of him.
