We apologize for the long wait for her Iowa City update. We have been crazy busy on working some new things into the mix. As Travis and Jason Kelce say NEW NEWS!!! As you all know we traveled to Iowa City for her Neurology and Orthopedic appointment. Little did we know that would be our last. I wish we could say forever but we are transferring to Gillette Children’s in St. Paul. But let’s hold off a minute and discuss the appointments. We started the day with Ortho. We did an Xray than off to see Dr. Holt. Her hips are looking amazing but her muscles and other problems are connected to her neurological issues. We had about an hour wait before heading up to our neurology appointment. This was a tough one for Josh and I. Probably one of the hardest ones. We have always known there could be more wrong with her brain than we know. We didn’t realize how many seizures she was actually having until we got there. She was having at least 4 to 6 a month that’s 1 to 2 a week. This in turn with how her sezuries have been they believe there is something going on with her left side of her brain. We will be having to get a full body MRI. However, with that we will be transferring to Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul. We will see what her new neurologist has to say and what the new steps are. We will be having our first appointment on June 6. We are excited and nervous as we have been with the U Of I for 3 years. It was not our choice to transfer but that is okay. Prayers for this new adventure and for these new drs to understand us and help us find out the best care for our kiddo.
