Journal entry by Morgan Holtry

My mom passed away peacefully at 3:21pm this afternoon. She has finally entered into glory and is now with the Lord. Her organ donation surgery was suddenly bumped up because of an emergency liver transplant that came through. She was able to donate her liver and both kidneys. In her death, she was able to give life to many.

While we said our final goodbyes, Dad read  Proverbs 31 over my mother more than once.  We wept as we listened, knowing Mom had fulfilled so much of what the passage describes. I want to share just a portion of it below:

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31:28-31‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations on behalf of two ministries my mother has invested in over the years:

- Grace House Ministries (https://www.gracehouseministries.net/#)

- Sanctified Hope (https://sanctifiedhope.org)

Thank you again for all of your prayers and support. We will have difficult days ahead, but remain full of hope and peace as we are comforted by the faith of my mother and love of our Savior.
